Maritime ports asked to hoist signal 3

Maritime ports of Chattagram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no. three as strong winds are blowing across the sea causing huge waves. 

Chittagong Patenga Office Meteorologist Sheikh Farid told Jago News that gusty or squally weather may affect the coastal areas and the maritime ports of Bangladesh. That’s why, the seaports of Chattagram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to hoist local cautionary signal 3.”

Besides, the met office in a weather forecast today said that rain and thunder showers are likely across the country. There could be hail storms at a few places too.

All fishing boats and trawlers in North Bay have been advised to approach the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.

They have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
