Case filed over students’ death in airport road crash

A case has been filed following the death of two students in a bus accident on Dhaka Airport Road near Radisson Hotel.

Jahangir Alam, father of the deceased one Dia Khanom Meem, filed a case with Cantonment Police Station accusing the driver and helper of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan.

Kazi Sahan Haque, officer-in-charge of Cantonment Police Station, said none was arrested yet. The bus driver and its helper are on run.

On Sunday, two students of Shaheed Ramij Uddin Cantonment College were killed and 12 others injured as a bus ploughed through a crowd waiting for transports on Airport Road near Radisson Hotel in the capital.

Immediately after the accident, fellows of the victims as well as the locals barricaded the road and set fire to two buses, leaving over 50 vehicles vandalised in the area under the Cantonment police.
