Health ministry decided to cancel licences of 20 drug companies

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has decided to cancel the licences of 20 drug companies with the recommendations made by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Health Ministry.

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim gave the directives to Department of Drug Administration to take step to execute the decision immediately.

He directs this on Thursday while presiding over meeting with the officials of the Department of Drug Administration at secretariat.

State Minister for Health Zahid Malek, Health Secretary Syed Manzurul Islam, Director General of Health Services Professor Dr Deen Mohammad Nurul Haque, and Director General of Drug Administration Major General Mostafizur Rahman and senior officials of the Department of Drug Administration were present on the occasion.

Besides, the meeting in principle endorsed other recommendations of the Jatiya Sangsad body and implements those speedily after review.
