7 killed as bus hits three-wheeler in Barguna

At least seven people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a three-wheeler in Barguna on Thursday. 

The incident took place at Manikjuri area of Amtali upazila in the district at 11:15am. 

Of them, five were identified as Salma Begum, 40, a government primary school teacher of Amtali, Chan Miah, 48, of Taltoli upazila, Hanif, 40, driver of the three wheeler and Shanu Mridha, 40 and Jashim Mridha, 40.  

The injured were admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital.

Abdullah Al Mamun, Sub Inspector of Amtali Police Station, said a Barishal bound-bus from Kuakata collided head-on with a three-wheeler when, leaving seven people dead on the spot and two injured.
