Imran files writ seeking direction for travelling abroad

Gonojagoron Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker on Monday filed a writ petition with the High Court challenging ‘bar’ and seeking directions for travelling abroad.

Confirming the news, Imran H Sarker said that senior lawyer Barrister M Amir-ul-Islam will stand in the court on behalf of him.

It is learnt that the hearing on the writ petition supposed to be held before a HC bench of Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Md. Sohrawardy at 2pm on Monday.

Earlier, Imran H Sarker was barred to travel abroad on Friday last, says a press release issued by Gonojagoron Mancha.

Imran had to return from the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while he was setting to travel for USA on an invitation of US foreign affairs office, the press release added.
