DB arrests 4 with huge fake notes

Detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday arrested four persons with counterfeit note worth of Taka 32 lakh last night, reports BSS.

The arrestees are identified as Md Jasim Morol, 30, Md Abdul Jalil, 28, Sagar alias Ripon Das, 30, and Md Jalal Uddin, 28.

“Being tipped off, a team of DB west division raided Kalyanpur Bus Stand area around 10:30pm. During the operation, DB men arrested the accused red handed from the area,” a DMP release said.

During primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they had been printing and marketing the fake notes for last five to six years.

A case has been filed with Mipur Model Police Station in this regard.
