Abducted businessman rescued in Mymensingh, held 3

Police rescued a businessman after two days from Bidyaganj area of Mymensingh District on Wednesday.

The arrestees are Ripon Mia, 25, Fahima Akhter Sumi, 20 and Rijon Mia, 24.

Police said, Momin went to Baitul Akram Jame Mosque in Mymensingh from the capital’s Uttara to join with Tablig Jamaat (congression) on Monday.

He was abducted from there. Later the abductors demanded Tk40 lakh as ransom from victim’s wife, over phone.

Being informed, a team of DB police had conducted a drive at Bidyaganj on the basis of mobile tracking and rescued the abducted businessman.
