Jhikargachha upazila chairman gets 6 years in jail

A Dhaka court has sentenced Jashore’s Jhikargachha upazila chairman Sabira Sultana to six years in jail in a case filed under anti-corruption act.
Judge Shahidul Islam of Special Judge Court-7 in Dhaka on Thursday passed the order in absence of the convict.
Sabira is on the run. The court also issued an arrest warrant against her.
Mir Ahmmed Salam, Public Prosecutor of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), confirmed the matter to Jago News.
