4 more bodies recovered in N’ganj trawler capsize

Firefighters on Tuesday morning recovered the bodies of four, out of the five people who went missing after a trawler hit an anchored launch on the river Shitalakkhya in Narayanganj.

Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj fire service and civil defense, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier on Monday, naval police recovered a body of unidentified man from the spot.

The trawler with 80-100 passengers was going to Madanganj Kheya Ghat from the city's Central Kheya Ghat. When the vessel took a turn, it hit the launch anchored at the central berthing point. Some passengers of the trawler fell into the river and swam ashore.
