1 dies jumping off RAB vehicle

One rasel has died after jumping off from RAB’s pickup van.

The incident took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Beraiderchala area under Sreepur municipality in Gazipur on Wednesday 5am.

The deceased Rasel, 20, son of Mohammad Ali of Gararon area in Sreepur.

Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Mawna highway police station Helalul Islam said, Rasel was accused in women abduction and murder cases.

A team of Rapid Action Battalion detained him around 5am on Wednesday. In an attempt to flee, Rasel jumped off the vehicle.

He said, Rasel died on the spot.

His body has been sent to Shaheed Tajudden Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
