Rice mill boiler explosion kills 2

Two workers were killed and five others injured when a boiler blasted at a rice mill at Rameshwargati village in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Nasiruddin, and Idris Ali, 24, residents of the village.

Officer-in-charge of Raiganj Police Station Rashedul Islam said Nasiruddin and Idris, along with five others, were boiling rice at a rice mill at the village in the morning.

At one stage, the boiler of the rice mill went off with a big bang at about 7:00am, leaving Nasiruddin and Idris dead on the spot and five others injured.
