1 killed in Bandarban landslide

A woman was killed in a landslide triggered by heavy rain in Sadar upazila of Bandarban on Tuesday.
Protima Rani Das was buried alive when a chunk of mud fell on her house at a hill in Baruapara of Kalaghata area. Later body of the victim was recovered, said deputy director of fire service and civil defense Iqbal Sobhan.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Aslam Hossain and municipal mayor Islam Bebi visited the spot after the incident.
