One more held over Siddique Munshi murder

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested one more person for his suspected link to killing of a recruiting agency owner Siddique Munshi from the city’s Badda area on Wednesday evening, reports BSS.

“We arrested Amin alias Nura, 27, who took part in the Siddique Munshi murder, from Badda area on Wednesday evening,” said a DB official.

Earlier on November 14 in 2017, a gang of criminals numbering four shot dead Siddique at Banani area in the capital.

Two arrested accused in the case gave confessional statement under section 164 before the court while four others allegedly involved in the murder were killed in shootout with law enforcers, he also said.

The main reason of the killing was extortion and Sweden expatriate fugitive cadre Nahid was the mastermind behind the killing, the official said.
