Habibun Nahar wins Bagerhat-3 by-polls unopposed

Ruling Awami League candidate Habibun Nahar Bina has been elected uncontested in the by-election of Bagerhat-3 constituency.
Returning Officer Md Nuruzzaman Talukdar today officially announced the name of winner Habibun Nahar, wife of newly-elected Khulna city mayor Talukdar Abdul Khaleque, in the by-election of Bagerhat-3 constituency, reports BSS.
As per election schedule, the by-election was scheduled to be held on June 26 this year. The constituency fell vacant on April 10 as Talukdar Abdul Khaleque rendered his resignation to the Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad.
