Drug addict ‘commits suicide’ in police custody

A drug addict has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside Sonaimuri Police Station of Noakhali early Saturday.
The deceased Tajul Islam Tushar, 23, son of Abdul Momin who is a member of Deuti Union Parishad under Sonamuri upazila.
Confirming the news to Jago News, officer-in-charge Nasim Uddin said that Momin handed over his son Tushar to police with 9 pieces of Yaba around 1 am on Saturday.
Later a case was filed in the matter. But, Tushar committed suicide between 5am to 6am by hanging himself with his Lungi in the police station, he added.
