Miscreants shot 1 in Patuakhali

One man sustained bullet hit injuries in an attack by miscreants of Mirzaganj village under Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali district on Sunday.

The injured is Gazi Mohammad Selim, 40, president of ward no 7 unit AL of Mirzaganj union.

Confirming the incident, Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mirzaganj Police Station said a gang of miscreants numbering 5/6 entered the house of Selim breaking open the door at about 2:30am.

Later, the attackers loot six tolas of gold ornaments and cash Tk55, 000 and opened fire at Selim, leaving him injured.

Selim has been sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital.
