Fitra fixed at minimum Tk 70

Fitra has been fixed at minimum Tk 70 and maximum Tk 2310 per head this year taking into account the market prices of wheat, ata, dates and other items.
Islamic Foundation on Wednesday fixed the amount in a meeting at its office in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Fitra is ‘wajib’ for all members of a family and should be paid to the poor people before the Eid Jamaat.
Last year, Fitra was minimum Tk 65 and maximum Tk 1980 per head.
