16 drug traders held in Habiganj

Law enforcers arrested 50 persons including 16 drug traders, eight wanted accused and 26 accused in regular cases from different areas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 9am on Thursday morning, reports BSS. 

Law enforcers also seized 18 liters of locally-made liquor, 694 pieces of Yaba tablets and 54-kg of Ganja during the drives. 

Additional Superintendent of Police A S M Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan said, they were picked up from different areas of the district on different charges.

Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.

The arrestees were sent to jail.
