12 dope gang men held in Dhaka

Detective Branch (DB) of police on Tuesday in separate raids arrested 12 members of an organized ogyan part (dope gang) from the city's Kawran Bazar and Tejgaon thana areas. 

"We, in separate drives, arrested 12 operatives of a dope gang from Kawran Bazar and Bitak Crossing of Tejgaon on Twesday evening," said a DB official today.

DB personnel also seized 482 pieces of sedative tablets, 13 canisters of poisonous balm and six bottles of soft drink mixed with poison from their possessions, he also said. 

The arrestees were identified as Kamal Hossain, 24, Mahbub Munshi,45, Md Juwel (24), Masum Mia,27, Mithu Mia,28, Md Alam,40, Md Rakib,24, Ataur Rahman Akter,45, Md Sabuj,35, Mukter Hossain,35, Md Sumon,25 and Md Nazmul,20. 

Legal action was taken against the arrestees.
