Payscale not to be placed on cabinet Monday

New payscale for the govt. employees will not be placed for approval on Monday’s cabinet meeting. Some remaining tasks is causing the delay, sources from the Ministry said.

Source said, Ministry of Finance completed all preparation to place the recommended eighth payscale to the cabinet canceling time scale and selecting grade system. But later the ministry took the decision to review the both before place it to the cabinet. At the same time demand for improving the status of university teachers and including MPO teachers in the new salary scale will be examined.

Meanwhile, govt. employee union parishad leaders went to Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhit to stop canceling time scale and selection grade, but Muhit refused to meet them due to his sickness.
