Advertising official killed in race between buses
Nazim Uddin, 38, a senior executive (advertising) of Dhaka Tribune, a national English-language daily, was ran over by a bus during a race between two buses in Dhaka.
The incident took place while two buses trying to overtake each other on Mayor Hanif Flyover near Janapath road at Syedabad in the city at 10am on Thursday.
Locals rescued him and rushed to Dhaka Medical Hospital (DMC) where the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased used to live at Shyamoli area in Dhaka and hailed from Kalmar Baluchar area under Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district.
Sub-inspector Bacchu Mia, In-charge of DMCH’s police outpost said quoting Jatrabari Police station source that police seized a bus of Manjeel transport services. The dead body was kept in the morgue of the hospital for autopsy.
