Holy month of Ramadan begins Friday
The holy month of Ramadan will begin on Friday in the country as the new moon was not sighted this evening.
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision in a meeting at its Islamic Foundation office this evening after reviewing reports on moon sighting for the holy month of Ramadan, an official release said today.
Lailatul Qadr, the night of divine blessing and benediction, will be observed on the night of June 12.
Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman presided over the meeting.
