4 killed in Habiganj road accident

At least four people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj on Tuesday.

One of the four deceased identified as Forhad, a resident of Kishoreganj district. But the identities of remaining three couldn’t be known immediately.

According to locals and police, the accident took place when a Sylhet-bound bus of Shaymoli transport services and a truck collided head-on around 8:00am on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Horitola area of the district.

Three died on the spot and four others were rescued and rushed them to the Habiganj sadar hospital where one of them died, they added.

Shayestaganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jashim Uddin Khandaker confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

He said that, on information Shayestaganj Highway Police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies.
