No freedom of expression: Mirza Fakhrul

Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir condemned the arresting of Shafik Rehman and said, there is no freedom of expression in the country.

He said, it is proved there is no democracy and freedom of writings.

Mirza Fakhrul told this to reporters after visiting the victims of fire at Thakurgaon Municipality on Saturday morning.

He also protested the arresting of Gazipur City Corporation Mayor MA Mannan.

General Secretary of district BNP and Upazila chairman Toimur Rahman and freedom fighter Nur Karim were present among others during this time.
