Rainfall may increase from May 10

The rainfall that is now occurring across the country may increase from May 10 next, according to a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department. 

"The rainfall is likely to decrease at many places over the regions of Khulna, Barishal and Rajshahi divisions. But, the rainfall with lightening flashes and nor'wester may increase across the country from May 10 giving a pose for two to three days from May 7 to 9," Abdur Rahman, a meteorologist at BMD office, told BSS. 

He said light to moderate rain or thundershowers and nor'wester may continue with lightening flashes and hails at many places over Narsingdi, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Sylhet, Chattogram and Mymensingh divisions during the period.

Besides, a weather forecast of met office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at most places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.
