Man stabbed to dead by muggers in capital

One man was stabbed to death by some muggers at Siddikbazar in the capital’s Bongshal area on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shaheed Hossain Shaheen, 35, an employee of a clothes store and son of Mohammad Ali, a resident of Gopimohon Basak Lane in the capital’s Wari area.

Sub-inspector of  Bongshal Police Station Imdad said, Shaheen way to his workplace from home around 7 am. At one stage, the muggers stabbed him mercilessly, leaving him critically injured.

Later he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead, he added.
