US-Bangla plane had no glitch, pilot was well
Abid Hasan, a former pilot of the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft, was well both physically and mentally, said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airlines Imran Asif adding that the aircraft had no technical glitch before taking off for Kathmandu.
He said this on Sunday while briefing at a press conference held at a city hotel.
A US-Bangla aircraft crashed at the Tribhuban International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal killing 51 passengers, including 28 Bangladeshi nationals of the 71 on board on March 12.
“It was unfortunate that, some media published confusing stories and photos after the tragic incident,” the CEO said.
Denying the report about pilot Abid who died in the crash, the CEO said he was not forced for his duty on that day.
“Abid was fit for flying and his medical report was class one. He was one of twelve “Designated Check Pilots (DCPs)” in Bangladesh,” he added.
