PM enjoys cultural show at Bangabandhu Stadium
Away from her normal daily routine, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this evening joined thousands of people to witness a cheerful but inspirational cultural performance organized as part of the programmes to celebrate country’s historic achievement to become a developing country from the status of least developed country (LDC).
Sheikh Hasina, finding herself amidst thousands of people, became a happy spectator for several hours of a blissful cultural extravaganza that was made more colourful with the display of amazing fireworks and laser show to the delight of the city dwellers, BSS reported.
Singers and other performers enthralled the prime minister and audiences who were visibly absorbed in listening gleeful multi-dimensional show as the country is celebrating historic achievement to become a developing country from the status of the least developed country (LDC).
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina accompanied by her sister Sheikh Rehana, nephew Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby and two grandchildren enjoyed the program organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Ministers, premier's advisers, lawmakers, politicians, leaders of different professional groups, writers, artistes and literatures and cross section of people attended the jubilant celebration.
Renowned singers Runa Laila and Momtaj, troupes of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and different tribal indigenous groups performed patriotic and folk songs and dance drama.
Amazing fireworks and laser beams creating a choreographed sequence of effects, captivated audiences together in a fun and exciting way.
While displaying the broad spectra of the country's history and development the laser show also focused on Bangladesh’s journey towards development over the years and country's struggle to be a poverty and hunger free nation.
Extracts from different speeches of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered on different occasion were also played when she (Prime Minister) called upon the countrymen to work together to uphold the success and take forward the country to its cherished goal of economic prosperity for which Bangladesh was liberated under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh mujibur Rahman.
