MP Liton charged over child shooting

Police on Sunday submitted charge-sheet to the court against Gainbandha-1 ruling party lawmaker Manjurul Islam Liton over shooting a 12-year old minor boy.

The court also transferred the case to the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court after granting a permanent bail to him in the case.

Gaibandha’s Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Moinul Hasan Yusuf passed the order after hearing.

Shahadat Hossain Sourav, a fourth-grader, was walking with his uncle Shahjahan Ali when Liton allegedly opened fire from his car at Sundarganj Upazila’s Gopalcharan on Oct 2 last year.
