Pro-BNP ex-MP Masud arrested

Police arrested a former Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) backed lawmaker of Meherpur-1 Masud Arun from his own house of the district town on Monday morning.

Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Meherpur Sadar Police Staion confirmed the incident.

He said, the former lawmaker was accused in two sabotage cases filed during the anti-government movement of BNP-Jamaat enforcing hartal-blockade across the country in 2013.
