‘I’m not afraid of anything’

Noted writer and Professor Dr Muhammed Zafar Iqbal on Wednesday said he is now well and not afraid of anything.

He came up with the remark while talking to reporters before he left Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka 11 days after an attack on him on Shahjalal University of Science and Technology campus in Sylhet.

He said: “Now, I’m doing well and I never been afraid of anything, still I’m not afraid of anything.”

I’ll address my students at the place in SUST campus where I was stabbed. The world is very beautiful. All of us will have to love the world. Then, the world will be beautiful, he added.

In response to the query of journalists on his physical conditions,  he said that now I’m doing well, stiches removed. But, stiches on my hand and back aren’t removed. That’s why, again I have to go the hospitalCMH.

He was stabbed by one Fayzur Rahman on SUST campus on March 3. He was first admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital and then to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.
