Zafar Iqbal now well, leaves CMH

Noted writer and Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, who was stabbed at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), has left Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka as doctors released him from the hospital after treatment on Wednesday at 10.30am.

Rezaul Karim Shammi, Assistant Director of Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed it to Jago News.

He said, Dr Zafar Iqbal is now well. But, he has been asked to stay in full rest for the next seven days.

The senior officials of Military forces, who were concerned with his treatment, bid farewell him at CMH, he added.

Zafar Iqbal was under treatment in the critical care unit of CMH since March 3 this year.

He was stabbed by one Fayzur Rahman on SUST campus on March 3. He was first admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital and then to Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.
