Each of Mirpur fire victims to get 30kgs rice

Each family, who are victim of deadly Mirpur fire will receive 30kg rice from Dhaka district administration.

Md Shahiduzzaman, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka district administration came up with the announcement at the residence of local parliament member Ilias Ali Mollah after visiting the burnt Mirpur slum.

He told Jago News that I visited the affected area after getting instruction from deputy commissioner Abu Saleh Mohammad Ferdous khan. Preparation to make a list of affected families is underway. 

Each of affected families will get 30kgs rice. We have also a plan to give financial help after preparing the list of affected people, he added.

It is mentionable that a fire broke out at Ilias Ali Molla slum at Mirpur 12 in the capital early Monday.

A total of 21 units of fire brigade in cooperation with local people brought the fire under control at 7.24am. The reason behind the fire could not be known yet.

Seven to eight thousand houses were burnt in the slum.
