11 killed in road accidents in Gaibandha

Eleven people were killed in separate road accidents in Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha on Saturday. 

A head-on-collision took place between a Gaibandha-bound human hauler and a Bogra-bound bus in the South Bus-stand area of Palashbari Upazila on Dhaka-Rangpur highway around 9am. Four people were killed and ten others injured in the incident, said Officer in charge (OC) of Palashbari Police Station Mahmudul Alam.

The deceased are: Raju, Zakir and Khasru of Rudronagar Village of Gobindaganj Upazila of the district. All of them were mason labour.

Apart from, seven people were killed and seven to eight others injured when a truck carrying them overturned at Jundoho area in the upazila around 12am. They all were the workers.

Identities of them could not be known immediately.
