Ferdousi Priyabhashini’s janaza held

The namaz-e-janaza of Freedom fighter and renowned sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini was held at Dhaka University central mosque. Dr Emdad Ullah, chief imam of the mosque, led the namaz-e-janaza.

DU Vice chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman, Professor Muhammad Samad, Professor Muntasir Mamun, Gonojagoron Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker and others dignitaries were participated in the namaz-e-janaza which held at 1.35pm on Thursday.

The body of Freedom fighter and renowned sculptor Ferdousi Priyabhashini will be taken to Shahid Buddhijibi Graveyard and laid to eternal rest beside the grave of Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam.

Prior to Namaz-e-janaza, the body of Ferdousi Priyabhashini was kept at capital’s central Shaheed Minar to pay respect at 10:30 in the morning. After paying tributes, she was given a guard of honor under the leadership of an assistant commissioner of the district administration. Then thousands of people attended to pay homage her.
