‘Attacker Fayzur believes in millitancy’

Fayzur Rahman, attacker of noted writer and professor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Professor Dr Muhammed Zafar Iqbal believes in militancy.

Commander of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9 Lieutenant Colonel Haider Azad Ahmed came up with the observation while briefing reporters on their preliminary inquiry at its headquarters on 3pm on Sunday.

He said, a team of RAB working on the information which is confessed by attacker Fayzur Rahman. Meanwhile, RAB interrogated three suspected people. He, ‘alone’ can’t be involved in such attack. We think there are more people behind this attack.  

But, attacker Fayzur informed that only he attacked on Zafor Iqbal, he added.

RAB commander said that Fayzur didn’t continue his study after passing Dakhil from a madrasah in Sylhet. RAB members investigating that whoever else involved in the attack.

Fayzur’s physical conditions is good. That’s why, he has been sent to Jalalabad Police station. Later he will be produce before court, he added.

Foyzur attacked Zafor Iqbal over a long days rage. He confessed that he attacked Zafar Iqbal as the teacher what he said is an enemy of Islam.
