2 killed while extracting stones from Sylhet quarry

Two workers were killed and three others injured in a mudslide while extracting stones illegally from a stone quarry at Volaganj of Companiganj upazila in Sylhet on Sunday night.
The deceased are identified as Ruhel Amin (22), son of Askar Ali and Motibur (32), son of Hazrat Ali, residents of Muradpur area in Sunamganj.
Confirming the news, Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Companiganj Police Station Dilip Nath said that bodies of the deceased were brought to police station and injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
Local predicted that the number of casualties may increase.
