New DCs in 22 districts
In a major reshuffle in the field of administration, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners to 22 districts.
Of them, three have been transferred from their current workplaces.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Sunday, reports UNB.
As per the notification, Sylhet City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Enamul Habib has been made DC of Rangpur while Local Government Deputy Director of Jessore Md Mazedur Rahman Khan Chandpur DC, Local Government Division Deputy Secretary Md Abul Fazal Mir Comilla DC, Gazipur City Corporation Secretary Md Aslam Hossain Bandarban DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Moin Ul Islam Netrakona DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Mohammad Iftekhar Hossain Satkhira DC, Deputy Secretary Kazi Abu Taher Shariatpur DC, Deputy Director of Faridpur Local Government Dr Abu Naim Muhammad Abdus Sabur Dinajpur DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Mohammad Elias Hossain Chittagong DC, Deputy Secretary Numeri Zaman Sylhet DC, Personal Secretary to the Textiles and Jute Minister Md Akhtaruzzaman Thakurgaon DC, Zonal Executive Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation AKM Mamunur Rashid Rangamati DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) MD Kamal Hossain Cox’s Bazar DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Saroj Kumar Nath Jhenidah DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Mohammad Masud Alam Siddique Bhola DC, Deputy Director of Lalmonirhat Local Government Sultana Parvin Kurigram DC, Deputy Secretary (OSD) Syeda Farhana Qaunain Narsingdi DC, Deputy Secretary Mahmudul Kabir Murad Habiganj DC and Cantonment Executive Officer of Dhaka Cantonment Board SM Abdul Quader has been made DC of Rajshahi.
Meanwhile, Narsingdi DC Dr Subhas Chandra Biswash has been transferred to Mymensingh while Thakurgaon DC Md Abdul Awal to Jessore and Kurigram DC Abu Saleh Mohammed Ferdous Khan has been sent to Dhaka as its DC.
