Jago News pays homage to language martyrs

Jagonews24.com, a leading online news portal of Bangladesh, paid its profound tributes to the martyrs of the historic Language Movement on the occasion of Amar Ekushey and the International Mother Language Day demanding the recognition of Bengali as an official language of the United Nations (UN).

Journalists of the online news portal paid tributes to the 1952 language martyrs by placing wreaths at the altar of the monument on Wednesday morning.

Editor Shujan Mahmud, Chief News Editor Mohiuddin Sarkar, Chief Reporter Moniruzzaman Uzzal, Assistant Editor Dr. Harun Rashid, Deputy Chief Reporter Sirazuzaman and Feature Editor Ariful Islam Arman were took part in the Probhat Ferry (morning procession) along with other journalists of the news portal to pay tributes.

Earlier, journalists of the news portal started their Probhat Ferry from Dhaka University’s Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) for Central Shaded Minar at 8am and paid tributes at 10am at the altar of the monument.

During the Probhat Ferry, mass people were invited to vote for the campaign, “We want Bangla in UN (Jatisonghe Bangla Chai).”
