UP chairman shot dead in Narail

A union parishad chairman was gunned down by the miscreants in Narail at 12.30pm on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Lotifur Rahman Palash, chairman of Dighalia union parishad of Lohagara upazila in the district.
Confirming the matter, Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Lohagara Police Station, said: “Palash came under the attack when he was taking with someone in front of the Lohagara election office. Two miscreants riding a motorcycle shot at him and fled away from the spot.”
Later he was rushed to upazila health complex and the doctors declared him dead.
