Swiss president visits parliament

Visiting Swiss President Alain Berset visited the National Parliament in Dhaka today.
Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, flanked by Chief Whip ASM Firoz, MP, Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, whips Atiur Rahman Atik, Md Shahiduzzaman Sarker, Iqbalur Rahim and Md Shahab Uddin, welcomed the guest on his arrival, BSS reported.
During his visit, Berset praised the architectural style of the parliament building.
Senior secretary of National Parliament Secretariat Dr Md Abdur Rob Hawlader, Swiss ambassador in Dhaka Rene Holestine and other senior officials, were present during the visit, among others.
