Writ petition filed seeking 10pc FF quota in parliament

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking ten-percent quota for Freedom Fighters in parliament and local government elections.
Arifur Rahman, a lawyer, filed the petition on Wednesday.
The petitioner Ariful said that secretary to the law ministry, secretary to the freedom fighters ministry and chairman of the freedom fighters central command council were made respondents to the writ petition.
The petition may be heard by the high court bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice KM Kamrul Kader on February 10 next, he added.
