Police shot on garment workers: 50 more hurt

More than 50 garment wokers were injured by police shooting on Thursday morning.

The incident took place in front of the Pahartoli Thana area in Chittagong.

An agitator named Mizan said, police personnel detained one Sajib, a garment worker of Gauchia Fashion and was taken him to police station.

On Thursday, Being informed the matter, the garment worker took their position in front of the police station. At that time they locked in a brawl with policeman and blocked the police station. 

To take situation under control, police shot on the garment worker and more than 50 people were injured on the spot.

Denying the firing incident, Officer-in-charge of Pahartoli Police Station Ranjit Barua said, we are trying to solve the matter.
