Akheri Munajat of Biswa Ijtema to be offered in Bangla
Akheri Munajat (concluding prayers) and Hedayati Boyan (guidance sermon) of the first phase of Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the Muslim after holy Hajj, will be offered in Bangla language on Sunday.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Tabligh Jamaat Murabbis (scholars) on Friday night, Tablig Jamaat’s Murabbi Gias Uddin confirmed the matter to the Jago News on Saturday.
Hafez Maulana Mohammad Zubaer of Kakrail’s Markaz will lead the Akheri Munajat in Bangla this time. Apart from, Maulana Abdul Matin will give the Hedayati Boyan.
Earlier, a problem arose over the joining of Indian scholar Maulana Saad Kandhalvi in the first phase of the Ijtema.
In the face of stern opposition from a faction of Tabligh Jamaat, it was decided at a home ministry meeting on Thursday that Maulana Saad would not join the Ijtema.
The second phase of Ijtema will be held from January 19 to 21. The Biswa Ijtema is being arranged by the Turag since 1967.
