Muezzin stabbed dead in mosque
A Muezzin was stabbed to death by miscreants inside a mosque at Islampur area in old part of Dhaka early on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Belal Hossain, 55, was the muezzin of Jabbar Khan Jam-e-Masjid at Islampur.
Kotwali Police Station OC Abul Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said, local people found the body in a pool of blood on the stairs of the mosque when they went to the mosque for Fajr prayer.
On information, law enforcers rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
