No bar to hold recruitment tests of 3 state-run banks

The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the High court order that halted recruitment process for the post of senior officer, officer and officer (cash) of three state-run banks-Sonali, Rupali and Janata Bank.

As a result, there is no bar to hold recruitment test for the senior officers scheduled for Friday.

Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division Justice Syed Mahmud Hussain stayed the order for six weeks.

The Chamber Judge came up with the order following a petition filed by Bangladesh Bank seeking a stay on the High Court order.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam stood for the central bank.

Earlier on January 7, the High Court stayed the January 12 recruitment tests for senior officers in the three state-run banks.
