Uttara to Motijheel in 38 minutes

A city commuter will travel Motijheel from Uttara in 38 minutes by Metro rail at the end of 2021 and there will be a train in every four minutes at each of the 16 stations on the way in both directions.

Moinuddin, an employee of Dhaka Mass Transit Limited (DMTCL) came up with the information on Thursday afternoon while responding to queries of visitors at the Metro Rail stall designed resembling MRT-6 at Dhaka Shilpakala Academy. 

This is a scenario of the three-day long “Development Fair-2018” kicked off at Dhaka Shilpa kola Academy on Thursday. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the countrywide "Development Fair-2018" through video conference from her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka.

Later, Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon has inaugurated the three-day fair as the chief guest flying balloons and pigeons at Segunbagicha Shilpa kola Academy while other dignitaries including Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka district administration were present. 

A total of 94 stalls have been set up in the fair. The fair will be continue till Saturday from 9 to 10 pm alongside discussion meeting, cultural programme including local song (Potgun) related with development by the present government.

The main purpose of the fair is to display various development activities of present government before the people.
