Mobile court to continue operation until appeals’ settlement
The operation of mobile court by the executive magistrate will continue until settlement of three appeals filed by the government against the High Court (HC) verdict over the mobile court act.
A five-member bench of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court led by acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah passed the order on Tuesday.
The court also fixed January 16 for next hearing.
Earlier on May 11, 2017, the HC declared unconstitutional the rule under which executive magistrates can run mobile courts.
