Dhaka set to launch Bangabandhu-1 satellite by March end

Bangladesh’s first commercial satellite Bangabandhu-1 will be launched between March 27 and 31 this year.

Tarana Halim, who was transferred from Post and Telecommunications Ministry to Information Ministry in the cabinet re-shuffle on January 3, came up with the announcement during a view exchange meeting with journalists at secretariat on Sunday.

Mentioning the completion of the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 project as one of her successes, Tarana highlighted her performance in her previous portfolio, where she worked for two years and four months.
