Without duty 16 lakh Tk salary in a month!

Have you heard the name of any organization that provided handsome salary to their employee without doing office work? You can’t guess such an organization.

But it is possible in International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDRB)!  Because a high up official of ICDDRB got 16 lakh and 70 thousand taka in a month but she didn’t perform any day as office duty, it was alleged.

According to source, the official named Christin Denhi, Director of Human Resources leaved the Bangladesh on 16 December and now he was leaving in Ireland for more two months.

But Christin has been served regular salary although she didn’t submit any application of leave of absence.

Even she didn’t take any medical leave for this time.

According to a common rule of ICCDRB, any stuff didn’t do their office duty staying at home. But the female stuff is taking salary and others allowance without doing office work.

Consequently, ICCDRB are facing some problems in recruitment process of Human Resource department. Apart from, the activities of the department are hampered being absence of Christin. 

However, the authority’s claimed that the allegation against Christin is not true. They informed that their stuff is on leave of absence.

An anonymity official of ICDDRB said that, Christin submitted an application of leave of absence and also enclosed a medical prescription that mentioned she was suffering stress.

But the doctor didn’t advice her to take rest, he said.  

However, President of Karmi Mangal Sanstha (activist welfare organization) of ICDDRB and its General Secretary Doctor Firoze Ahmed filed a writ with High Court seeking answer why the appointment of the position of Human Resource department will not be declared void?  

It was told in writ, Christin Denhi has been appointed on August 28, 2014 when she was 59.

According to recruitment policy, the age limit of a candidate for the post of Human Resource Director must be from 18 up to 58.

Christin Denhi had no Masters degree but the degree was also mandatory for the appointment.

On December 16, the High Court bench of Justice Moenul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Ashraful Kamal issued an order seeking why she was not ordered to leave the post.

After the High Court order Christin went to Ireland on December 16.  

When contacted A. K. M. Tariqul Islam through the email he denied the allegation against Christin and told that, she was taken leave of absence legally.
